Volleyball Game Preview: Charlestown Pirates vs. Bedford North Lawrence Stars

The Charlestown Pirates will head out to challenge the Bedford North Lawrence Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Charlestown lost 3-0 to Borden on Tuesday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Charlestown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Bedford North Lawrence came up short against Columbus North on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Stars haven't had much luck with the Bull Dogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.

Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Charlestown was able to grind out a solid victory over Bedford North Lawrence when the teams last played back in September of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Stars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
