Baseball Recap: Staples-Motley Beats Sauk Centre for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Staples-Motley extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 5-6-1 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 win over the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since May 18, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kris Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Beau Carlson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
