Basketball Recap: Roseville Takes a Loss

Roseville suffered their biggest loss since February 5, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against the Chippewa Valley Big Reds, falling 68-40. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Big Reds are ranked 47th).

Roseville's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Chippewa Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

Roseville will host Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chippewa Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Port Huron Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Huron Northern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Chippewa Valley likes a good challenge.
