Basketball Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

Columbus East lost against Seymour back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbus East Olympians took a hard 57-42 fall against the Seymour Owls. The Olympians' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Columbus East's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Seymour, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus East will face off against Scottsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbus East is facing Scottsburg at the right time seeing as Scottsburg is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Seymour, they will challenge Bedford North Lawrence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
