Softball Game Preview: Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats vs. Century Centurions

Carrier Mills-Stonefort is 0-4 against Century since May of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Centurions at 4:30 p.m. Neither Carrier Mills-Stonefort nor Century posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Last Tuesday, Carrier Mills-Stonefort came up short against Crab Orchard and fell 5-1.

Meanwhile, Century also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Crab Orchard by a score of 6-2.

Century saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Century, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Century when the teams last played back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
