Basketball Recap: Evansville Harrison Takes a Loss

Evansville Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Evansville Reitz Panthers, falling 58-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 74-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Evansville Reitz was led to victory by Kaelyse Mitchell and Kierstyn Kaiser. Mitchell almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Kaiser almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Kaiser continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Kendall Kaiser was another key player, putting up five points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Evansville Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Evansville Reitz, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Evansville Harrison will venture away from home to square off against Vincennes Lincoln at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evansville Reitz, they will welcome North Posey at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
