Baseball Game Preview: Nova Classical Academy Knights vs. Blake Bears

Nova Classical Academy hasn't had much luck against Blake recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Nova Classical Academy made easy work of Liberty Classical Academy and carried off a 27-5 victory.

Rowan Flood made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Flood was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Will Choi and James Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Choi went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, nine RBI, and five runs, while Williams went a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those five runs gave Choi a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Quintus Graff, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Blake came up short against Breck on Wednesday and fell 17-13. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nova Classical Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Blake, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
