Baseball Recap: Beaumont Comes Up Short

Beaumont lost against Cajon back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Cowboys, falling 10-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Beaumont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Nelson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Alex Ojeda also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Beaumont's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cajon, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Coming up, Cajon will face off against St. Paul at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Swordsmen's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Cowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Beaumont will be paying especially close attention to Cajon's match: after Cajon faces off against St. Paul, they'll take on Beaumont again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
