Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Eagles vs. Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans
Faith Christian was the 46-33 winner over Triad Baptist Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Christian Eagles were dealt a 54-26 loss at the hands of the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the Titans are ranked 238th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Triad Baptist Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Harrelson, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and three steals. Harrelson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Royal, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards.
Faith Christian dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-9.
Faith Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 31-25 loss against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on the 11th. As for Triad Baptist Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-14 defeat against South Guilford HomeSchool on the 11th.
