Baseball Recap: Lewisburg's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Lewisburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Winter Park Wildcats by a score of 6-5.

Caden Nelson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hendrichovsky, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Lewisburg suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 12-3. As for Winter Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Lewisburg has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Southaven on the 18th. As for Winter Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against St. Johns Country Day on the 15th.
