Basketball Recap: Kayleigh Brooks Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mangham, Tensas was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 30-16 win over the Madison Jaguars. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Jaguars back in November, they had to take a 42-27 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tensas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayleigh Brooks, who posted six points and five rebounds. Brooks is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Autrice Vaughn was another key player, putting up nine points.

Tensas moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Tensas will venture away from home to take on Vidalia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Madison Jaguars take on the Marksville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
