Basketball Recap: Wayland Academy Takes a Loss

Wayland Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Horicon Marshmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marshmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-43 last Monday.

Wayland Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Horicon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayland Academy will head out to challenge Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Abundant Life/St. Ambrose Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Wayland Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Horicon, they will head out on the road to take on Johnson Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
