Softball Recap: Roane County's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

Roane County was the 8-0 winner over Meigs County when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Roane County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sailor Presley, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Roane County fell to 12-1. As for Meigs County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Roane County is set to square off against their familiar foe Tellico Plains at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. Meanwhile, Meigs County will challenge rival McMinn Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
