Basketball Game Preview: Lanier Longhorns vs. Johns Creek Gladiators

The Lanier Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Johns Creek Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lanier is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering North Gwinnett just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. The contest between them and the Bulldogs didn't end well, with Lanier falling 62-45.

Meanwhile, Johns Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chattahoochee.

Johns Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lanier, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Everything came up roses for Lanier against Johns Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 60-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lanier since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
