Volleyball Recap: Williams Field Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Williams Field extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 11-4. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles. The Black Hawks were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Black Hawks were just returning the favor.

Tatum Clay paced Williams Field's offense, picking up 12 kills. Clay got some help from Makenna Mooney and her 13 assists. Amira Dunn controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

As for ALA - Gilbert North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Centennial (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 80.4% over those games).

Despite the defeat, ALA - Gilbert North had strong showings from Jane Taylor, who had seven digs and two aces, and Hanna Walker, who had three digs and three aces.

Williams Field didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Centennial on the 19th. As for ALA - Gilbert North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Valley Vista on the 20th.
