Brett Engle posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because El Capitan is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-9-1 otherwise.

Engle's strong effort led El Capitan over Valhalla and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Norsemen are limping into the matchup having lost four straight at home. There's no doubt they're looking for a change of fortune, but will Engle and the Vaqueros have enough to stop it?
