Basketball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

If Edison was feeling good fresh off their 68-47 takedown of Beach Channel last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Edison lost 78-56 to Epic South on Monday. Edison has struggled against Epic South recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Epic South, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Edison will welcome John Adams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully John Adams likes a good challenge. As for Epic South, they will venture away from home to challenge Lane at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lane is on a five-game streak of home wins, Epic South a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
