Baseball Recap: Carter Takes a Loss

Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Pinkston Vikings, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-5 last Tuesday.

Carter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pablo Daurte, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Pinkston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carter will welcome Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.71 runs per game on average), something Carter will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pinkston, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wilmer-Hutchins at 4:30 p.m. Pinkston is facing Wilmer-Hutchins at the right time seeing as Wilmer-Hutchins is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
