Basketball Recap: Shelby Valley Comes Up Short

Shelby Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 63-57 to the Prestonsburg Blackcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-57 on Tuesday.

Shelby Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Prestonsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Shelby Valley will take on Magoffin County on Saturday. Prestonsburg has already played their next game (against Breathitt County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
