Volleyball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Pittsburg Pirates.

Leading Pittsburg to victory were Leilani Flood and Zelanda Coleman. Flood had six assists and four aces, while Coleman had eight assists.

Oakland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pittsburg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Oakland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Deer Valley on the 6th. As for Pittsburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marin Academy on the 6th.
