Soccer Game Preview: JSerra Catholic vs. Cathedral

The JSerra Catholic Lions and the Cathedral Phantoms will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

JSerra Catholic's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Mira Costa by a score of 2-0. The Lions' winning goal came courtesy of Gavin Allegaert.

Meanwhile, Cathedral won against Bishop O'Dowd on Friday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. Cathedral put the hurt on Richmond with a sharp 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Phantoms, who have now won three contests by four goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Cathedral and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for JSerra Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went JSerra Catholic's way against Cathedral in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, as JSerra Catholic made off with a 5-0 win. Will JSerra Catholic repeat their success, or does Cathedral have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
