Baseball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Lanier was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against the Jefferson Mustangs, falling 13-2. The Voks haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Jefferson, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lanier will welcome Edison at 4:30 p.m. on March 21st. As for Jefferson, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Devine at 12:00 p.m. Devine's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Jefferson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
