Florida high school football: Week 3 schedule, scores

Nationally-ranked matchup of No. 6 Chaminade-Madonna vs. No. 19 Bergen Catholic headlines slate.

This weekend's high school football schedule in Florida includes a handful of intriguing matchups headlined by a showdown between nationally-ranked powers in No. 7 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) and No. 19 Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) on Friday night.

Chaminade-Madonna opened the season strong with wins over St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.) 35-14 and Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) 41-4.

Senior North Carolina State commit Cedrick Bailey has completed 75 percent of his passes for 319 yards and five touchdowns while senior North Carolina pledge Davion Gause has carried 24 times for 245 yards and three touchdowns.

Bergen Catholic has also impressed in the first two weeks of the season with a 24-6 victory over Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, N.J.) and a 38-7 triumph against Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.). Junior signal caller Michael Campanile has led the offensive charge with 423 passing yards and five touchdowns.

Other games of note include national No. 4 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) returning to the field against Ben Davis (Indianapolis, Ind.) and state-ranked No. 14 Lakeland taking on nationally-ranked No. 12 St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.).
