Softball Recap: Belle Plaine Takes a Loss

Belle Plaine lost against Cheney back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons came up short against the Cardinals, falling 11-1. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belle Plaine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Brines, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Maddy Goolsby was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cheney, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

While Belle Plaine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
