Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Lighthouse Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Halfway. The matchup marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lighthouse Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Morgan, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Lighthouse Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for New Covenant Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
