Basketball Game Preview: DuVal Tigers vs. Parkdale Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the DuVal Tigers duke it out with the Parkdale Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday... Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, DuVal came up short against Laurel and fell 77-69.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 68 points the game before, Parkdale was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They were outmatched by Bowie and fell 64-25. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs : they've now lost eight in a row.

DuVal has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Parkdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

DuVal was able to grind out a solid win over Parkdale in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 58-48. Will DuVal repeat their success, or does Parkdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
