Volleyball Game Preview: Forest Park Rangers vs. Perry Central Commodores

The Forest Park Rangers will square off against the Perry Central Commodores at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Forest Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over South Spencer. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Perry Central made easy work of Pike Central on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Forest Park better focus on containing Ella Underhill and Bryn Yeager as the pair were huge in Perry Central's win. Underhill had nine digs and two aces, while Yeager hit 50% for ten kills and ten digs and one block. Yeager is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Perry Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Forest Park's record now sits at 22-6. As for Perry Central, their record is now 24-7.

Forest Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry Central when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Commodores turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
