Baseball Recap: Randolph School Victorious

Randolph School won against Westminster Christian Academy last Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Raiders walked away with a 9-6 win over the Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 last Tuesday.

Jackson Weglage was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keaton Schroer, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Randolph School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .472.

The victory made it two in a row for Randolph School and bumps their season record up to 8-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-16.

Coming up, Randolph School will be playing in front of their home fans against Clements at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Huntsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
