Softball Recap: Steilacoom Sentinels vs. Orting Cardinals
Steilacoom had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-11 to make it six. They came up short against the Orting Cardinals, falling 24-14. If the Sentinels were looking for revenge after losing 29-17 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Abigail Butterfield made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Izzy Cortez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
