Softball Recap: Flomaton Comes Up Short

Flomaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the W.S. Neal Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hurricanes have suffered since March 21, 2024.

Flomaton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for W.S. Neal, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Flomaton will head out on the road to square off against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for W.S. Neal, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-4 win against Carroll on the 22nd.
