Volleyball Recap: Garfield Heights Takes a Loss

Garfield Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Nordonia Knights.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-13.

Tai'Mere Mixson paced Garfield Heights' offense, picking up six kills. Mixson got some help from Jonathan Watkins and his seven assists.

Garfield Heights now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Nordonia, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Garfield Heights will square off against rival Bedford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nordonia is set to challenge their familiar foe Strongsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
