Basketball Game Preview: Mary Star of the Sea Stars vs. St. Genevieve Valiants

Mary Star of the Sea has won four straight games at home, while St. Genevieve has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Mary Star of the Sea Stars will host the St. Genevieve Valiants at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long.

Mary Star of the Sea is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Claremont just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack.

Meanwhile, St. Genevieve ended up a good deal behind La Salle on Wednesday and lost 77-63.

St. Genevieve now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Mary Star of the Sea beat St. Genevieve 65-56 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will Mary Star of the Sea repeat their success, or does St. Genevieve have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
