Basketball Recap: Hendersonville Takes a Loss

Hendersonville played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Beech Buccaneers, falling 51-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Commandos have suffered since November 22, 2024.

Beech found their leader in sophomore Tia Nix, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Nix has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marykate Long, who posted 14 points and five boards.

Hendersonville's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Beech, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Hendersonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-15 win against Gallatin on the 28th. Beech has also already played their next matchup, a 55-46 defeat against Mount Juliet on the 28th.
