Basketball Recap: Durham Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Durham couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the University Prep Panthers by a score of 51-49 on Tuesday. The Trojans have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

University Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Pringle, who went 9-for-22 to rack up 22 points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave Pringle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Gire, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.

Durham's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for University Prep, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-8.

Durham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Prep, they have already played their next match, a 70-67 victory against Gridley on the 6th.
