Volleyball Recap: West Wendover Takes a Loss

West Wendover was the 3-0 winner over Coral Academy of Science - Reno when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines lost 3-0 to the Falcons on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-13.

Helen Collazo paced West Wendover's offense, picking up nine kills. Collazo got some help from Savannah Jimenez and her 30 assists. Jimenez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

West Wendover's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Coral Academy of Science - Reno, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Wendover is set to square off against their familiar foe Yerington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Coral Academy of Science - Reno will face off against rival Silver Stage at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
