Baseball Recap: Loris Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Loris can now relate to. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Loris' loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Loris wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Georgetown on the 7th. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against Newberry on the 7th.
