Soccer Recap: Lipscomb Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lipscomb Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Brentwood Academy Eagles get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lipscomb Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lipscomb Academy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Brentwood Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lipscomb Academy will head out to take on Montgomery Bell Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brentwood Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Ensworth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ensworth will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Brentwood Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
