Baseball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Eastchester Eagles.

Hilton Head Island saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Boretti, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tyler Young was another, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Eastchester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Hilton Head Island will challenge Philip Simmons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Iron Horses have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Eastchester, they will square off against Hastings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
