Softball Preview: Skyridge Falcons vs. Westlake Thunder        
        
		
            
 Skyridge is 9-1 against Westlake since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Skyridge Falcons will be playing at home against the Westlake Thunder at 3:30  p.m. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Skyridge is headed into the  game fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by  a  13-2 margin over Lone Peak on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
  Addalie Purcell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Purcell has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Purcell was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Irma Medina, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Peyton Hall was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Westlake has not done well against Lehi recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Westlake's pitcher stepped up to hand Lehi  a   2-0 shutout.
