Preview: Shattuck Indians vs. Turpin Cardinals
The Shattuck Indians are on the road again on Friday and play against the Turpin Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th. Shattuck has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 205 points over their last three matchups.
Last Tuesday, Shattuck was fully in charge, breezing past Sharon-Mutual 65-32 on the road.
Meanwhile, Turpin pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Texhoma by a score of 64-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (56), Turpin still had to take the loss.
Bryson Parker put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 32 points. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peters, who scored 14 points.
Shattuck now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Turpin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Shattuck took their victory against Turpin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 51-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shattuck since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
