Softball Recap: St. Stephens Comes Up Short

St. Stephens fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against McDowell on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 12-11. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-4 loss last Friday.

Alexa Woodard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Barham, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

St. Stephens has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for McDowell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

As of now, neither St. Stephens nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
