Soccer Recap: Memorial's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collinsville, Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tahlequah Tigers 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for Memorial as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Memorial's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Tahlequah, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Memorial is set to face off against their familiar foe Midwest City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tahlequah will challenge rival Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
