Cash Pomeroy and Co. Win 20th in a Row

Marionville picked up their 20th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cash Pomeroy. Pomeroy wasn't messing around, rushing for 198 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. The contest was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Marionville's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Pomeroy's next game is against Sarcoxie on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Guerin Made His Presence Known in Marionville's 36-12 Win

Bryer Guerin's big game helped extend Marionville's winning streak to 20 on Friday. Pierce City had no answer to Guerin as he rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown on only 15 passes.

Unfortunately for Pierce City, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Guerin. Guerin threw for 162 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards on only six carries the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in September of 2023.

Nate Hill Delivers Best Performance of Season

Miller came up short on Friday despite Nate Hill delivering his best game to date. Hill threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score.

Miller's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. Hill and Miller will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pierce City at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Caden Calvin Makes It Two for Miller

Another Miller player making an appearance on this list is Caden Calvin. He picked up 55 receiving yards.

Sarcoxie had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Calvin it was a similar story. Calvin rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards the last time he and the Bears duked it out back in September of 2023.

Another Miller player making an appearance on this list is Jarod Lung. He picked up 116 receiving yards.
