Volleyball Recap: Oakland Takes a Loss

Oakland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Independence Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Oakland was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Independence work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-13.

Oakland's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.

Oakland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Independence, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Ravenwood on the 30th.
