Powell is a perfect 10-0 against Oak Ridge since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Powell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Powell fell victim to Halls and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to Ooltewah.

Leah Curran was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Kaylee Hickman was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Powell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Oak Ridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Powell has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Oak Ridge, though, as they've been averaging 11.3 hits. Given Powell's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.

Powell took their victory against Oak Ridge when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 18-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
