Basketball Game Preview: LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers vs. Dixon Dukes & Duchesses

The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, LaSalle-Peru came up short against Washington and fell 49-39.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dixon). They enjoyed a cozy 80-66 win over Freeport on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Dukes & Duchesses who have now won five contests in a row.

Dixon is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for LaSalle-Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

LaSalle-Peru didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Dixon in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. Will LaSalle-Peru repeat their success, or does Dixon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
