Soccer Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lincoln Southeast Knights, falling 4-0. Columbus were not able to make up for their loss to Lincoln Southeast from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Columbus has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Lincoln Southeast, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Grand Island on the 25th. As for Lincoln Southeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lincoln High on the 25th.
