Baseball Game Preview: Oak Hill Golden Eagles vs. Mississinewa Indians

Oak Hill has gone 9-1 against Mississinewa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will welcome the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Oak Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

On Wednesday, Oak Hill needed a bit of extra time to put away Eastbrook. They skirted past the Panthers 7-6. Seven seems to be a good number for the Golden Eagles as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Trenner Boswell was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cam Aguilar, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Mississinewa never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Blackford as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won four in a row.

Oak Hill pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mississinewa, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Oak Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over Mississinewa in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 8-3. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
