            Baseball Recap: Beckman Patriots vs. San Clemente Tritons        
        
		
        
        
            Beckman had lost five straight on the road, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 12-13 to make it six. They fell  5-1 to the San Clemente Tritons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tritons this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  4-3  loss  on Wednesday.
As for San Clemente, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-9. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.
For San Clemente's part,  Luke Acuna spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.
 At the plate,  Cade Cerone and  Kaden Raymond did most of the damage at the plate:  Cerone  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Raymond  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  run and one  double. San Clemente is undefeated when  Cerone posts two or  more  runs, but 8-9 otherwise.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beckman will host San Juan Hills  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. The Stallions will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Clemente, they will take on Fullerton in a tournament  on Saturday.
