It was a good run, but Conwell-Egan Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cardinal O'Hara Lions, falling 14-4. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tommy KaliTa and Sean McGovern did some serious damage despite the final result: Kalita went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while McGovern scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That double marked the first that Kalita hit this season.

Conwell-Egan Catholic's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Cardinal O'Hara, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Conwell-Egan Catholic will welcome Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will head out to take on Roman Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
